The Unknown Soldier

A thought provoking, moving, and even humorous solo piece that looks at the First World War from a new perspective, through the eyes of a man who has survived the carnage but remains, like many, to help build the great cemeteries. It is a story of the deep friendship that can only be found between those who fight together, of the betrayal felt by them at the end of the war, and of a world that has changed so much it has become unrecognisable. Classics Galore Charity Concert

Kerri Watt

Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market

An exciting mix of local and continental traders, showcasing the best of festive food, crafts and gifts. South West Christmas Without Cruelty Festival

Animal Aid’s popular Christmas Festival returns, offering visitors a great day out and a chance to purchase original gifts and cards that make a difference. There will be almost 50 stalls, featuring ethical traders and organisations that promote human, animal and environmental causes. Products on sale will include fair trade clothes, chocolates galore, local arts and crafts, cruelty-free cosmetics, quality bric-a-brac and a wide range of vegan cakes. Poltimore House Christmas Fair

Start the Christmas Season off with a day out at the annual Poltimore House Christmas Fair. Enjoy the atmosphere of approx 30 stalls with a range of locally produced gifts, many hand-made. Enjoy refreshments at the on-site cafe whilst listening to the musicians who will be playing in the chapel and house for most of the day. EXHIBITIONS

Visible Girls: Revisited 
Exeter Phoenix
Visible Girls: Revisited, is a photography commission and national travelling exhibition of female portraits by photographer Anita Corbin. The exhibition brings together original images of women from different subcultures of the early 1980s and newly commissioned portraits of the same women now. The work will reunite women with their adolescent selves, exploring the ways in which photography can reveal and reflect upon identity and society at various stages of women's lives. MAKE 2017: Christmas Craft Exhibition

This annual Christmas selling exhibition showcases some of the best contemporary craft from UK based designer-makers. With a wide selection of disciplines to choose from, and a range of prices to suit all, it’s an ideal opportunity to buy an individual, handmade gift for Christmas.
