The Sons of Pitches 2017

Ballet Theatre UK presents Alice in Wonderland

Lemonfest

Bach and the Blues
Saturday, 7.30pm, Topsham Methodist Church, Fore Street, Topsham
Jonathan Lucas Wood will be Exeter Bach Society’s dynamic Musical Director, and the concert will feature soprano Heloise West, baritone Jason Bomford, and the Exeter Bach Society Jazz Trio consisting of Colin Pettet (piano) Mike Thorn (double bass) and Michelle Hiley (drums).  This is a concert that truly will appeal to all – and to emphasise and encourage this we are offering free tickets to under 18s.  The advance price for those having to pay is £10.  Tickets via www.exeterbachsociety.org or can be purchased from Exeter Tickets at the Tourist Information Centre, 01392 665885.

RSPB Exminster Marshes dragonfly walk

San Miguel Picturehouse Pop-Up

Farm Open Day

EXHIBITIONS

Sea Life: Glimpses of the Wonderful
RAMM, Queen Street Exeter
Catch a glimpse of the magic and mystery of the world under the sea. Dive in, and delight in the wonders of aquatic life. Through a playful mix of historic objects, film, illustrations, live creatures and contemporary craft, the exhibition combines science and art to inspire a greater appreciation of Devon’s glorious coastline for visitors of all ages. The exhibition runs until 17 September, open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm.

Off the Surface: The Art of Hand-Embroidery
Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Riverside Mill, Bovey Tracey
A collaborative exhibition showcasing the art of hand embroidery, old and new. Degree students from The Royal School of Needlework have produced contemporary, hand-embroidered work inspired by treasured textiles from world renowned archives at Hampton Court Palace.The exhibition features surface designs such as appliquéd garments, wearable sculpture, 3-D stitched drapes and hangings alongside historic purses, collars and lacework - offering a rare opportunity to see the past revived in a contemporary fashion. Open 10am-5.30pm daily, until 9 July.
