This winter, families are invited to join Quirk Theatre at Exeter Phoenix for an out-of-this-world live theatre experience.

Over the last fifteen years, Quirk Theatre have firmly established themselves as one of the South West’s most innovative children’s theatre companies, presenting a refreshing alternative to the usual Christmas panto for nearly four thousand people at Christmas time.

This year’s offering tells a magical story centred around the young Lucy, a curious girl with a scientific mind (and a fascination with superstar scientist Brian Cox).

Every night, Lucy comes out to look at the stars and listen to the universe. And not very much happens… until one starry night, she hears something. Something from outer space.

Join Lucy and a team of kooky characters for a hilarious, touching and thought provoking rollercoaster ride through the space-time continuum, featuring an original soundtrack, puppets, a wonderfully imaginative set and Quirk’s well-honed sense of the ridiculous.

Following 2016’s acclaimed production Ernie and The Sea of Ice, Quirk Theatre’s new show Lucy and The Lost Ones will mark the fifteenth year of collaboration with Exeter Phoenix.

Performances take place between Sunday 17th and Thursday 28th December at Exeter Phoenix.

Relaxed and Sign-Language Interpreted Performances

This year Exeter Phoenix is offering more performance options, so that everyone can enjoy the show in the right atmosphere for them. The relaxed performance on Sun 17th December at 2pm aims to provide an informal environment for adults and children with learning disabilities to enjoy a Christmas show with their families and carers, without anyone having to worry about making a noise, moving around or leaving the auditorium if they need to. The performance on 21 December at 4pm will be British Sign Language interpreted by Clare Seal.
