MOBO winner and former Destiny's Child singer to perform in Exeter

For those who enjoy reggae rhythms of Caribbean origin or admit to dancing their way through the early noughties to Destiny’s Child, then we may have found just the event for you.

Award winning saxophonist YolanDa Brown will be joined by Michelle Williams on stage as they bring the Reggae Love Songs tour to The Great Hall at the University of Exeter.

The tour has been running since February and will end in November stopping off in Exeter on the 11th June.

YolanDa Brown is widely regarded as the Premier female saxophonist in the UK and has spent several years on the jazz circuit travelling the world. She has teamed up with various well known jazz artists in recent times such as; The Temptations, Errol Brown, Courtney Pine as well as Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.

Her debut album “April Showers May Flowers” went to number one in the UK Amazon and iTunes Jazz charts, and she is now drawing on her Jamaican roots for this exciting tour.

Brown is involved with various different charity work, and is an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust. She also works with The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts, as well as starting her own music foundation, called the YolanDa Brown Foundation.

The tour has already visited Bradford, Liverpool and Cardiff and arrives in Cambridge on the 15th April.

Across different shows YolanDa will be joined by various artists including X Factor winner Matt Cardle, Lemar and Mica Paris.
