Harry Redknapp will be the star of the show in Exeter this June

King of the Jungle comes to the city

The King of the Jungle himself, Harry Redknapp, has announced that he will be coming to Exeter as part of his UK-wide tour.

Harry, whose football career spans over 50 years and is also famous for his time in the ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here’ jungle, will be keeping the crowds entertained with his hilarious tales at Exeter University’s Great Hall on Saturday, 22 June.

The event is being staged by Exeter City FC’s City Sporting Club who say they are delighted to welcome one of the UK’s most popular characters to the city.

Julian Tagg, Chairman of Exeter City Football Club, said: ‘Harry Redknapp is a household name and we can’t wait to welcome him to Exeter. He’s well known as a great raconteur, so this promises to be a fun evening and we’re looking forward to hearing his stories both from his time on the pitch and off it.’

Whilst Harry is well known for his football career, other fans may know him better from his time on ITVs ‘I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here’ which he won in 2018. Viewers said that he’d remained true to himself throughout the three weeks, and that they loved hearing about his marriage to wife Sandra.

Highlights of Harry’s illustrious football career include reaching the Champions League quarter-finals in 2011 whilst managing Tottenham Hotspur, winning the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008, and winning promotion to the Premier League with Queen’s Park Rangers in 2014.

Tickets for the event are priced from £24 to £30 and can be purchased here https://www.exetercityfc.co.uk/news/2019/may/harryredknapp/ or by telephoning 01392 413957. VIP packages for the evening are also available. The event is sponsored by RGB Building Supplies, Mi-Space and RGB Recruitment.
