Get tails wagging at The Donkey Sanctuary’s Spring Family Fun Day and Dog Show

Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary’s Spring Family Fun Day and Dog Show on Sunday 27 May promises to have something for everyone with a whole host of activities including, bouncy castles, go-karts, face-painting and live music from Vine and Dandy.

The highlight for many will be the dog show which features 15 different classes from perfect puppy to the prettiest pooch and child’s best friend to the waggiest tail. Entry costs just £1 for each class with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Visitors can pick up a treat for their pooch from some of the many local trade stands while delicious food and refreshments are available for all throughout the day.

Admission to the Spring Family Fun Day costs £2 per adult including FREE prize draw, under 12s free.

The event runs from 10am-4pm.

To help kick-off the summer The Donkey Sanctuary’s World Cup trail will be running throughout the Spring Half Term and the duration of the 2018 World Cup tournament (Monday 21 May – Sunday 15 July 9am – 5pm). Trail sheets cost £3 and provide the ideal opportunity to take in the beautiful walks around the sanctuary and meet some of the resident donkeys.

Visitors to The Donkey Sanctuary over the May half-term also have the chance of a winning a VIP family ticket to ‘Donkeys in the Park,’ a summer family festival. The event on 16 June features live music from local bands and musicians, lots of activities, a film tent plus live theatre. The prize includes entry for two adults & two children and a £50 food & drink voucher to spend at the event.

All proceeds go towards The Donkey Sanctuary’s work in the community and worldwide.
