On 28 November the Cavern Cub will see two exciting new bands playing in one night. Both 'Nine Black Alps', a grunge-rocker group, and their supporting act, 'Then Thickens', have new singles coming out on 2 December produced by Leeds-based label 'Hatch Records'.

'Nine Black Alps' will coincide their new single with a short run of live dates in November, heading to Exeter, Manchester and London, among other venues. The song marks the first release for new Leeds-based record label, 'Hatch Records', which has emerged from the demise earlier this year of the influential and underground 'Brew Records'.

The band returned in 2012 with their fourth album “Sirens”, and “Novokaine” is the first taster from their fifth studio record, set for release in the first quarter of 2014. It’s a far more distorted and rockier affair that harks back to two of their past albums, “Everything is” and “Love/Hate”.

Tickets for the tour are on sale now and support will come from another band signed with 'Hatch Records', to be revealed in the coming weeks.
