Exeter Phoenix is now inviting submissions for one of the South West’s most vibrant film festivals, Two Short Nights.

Festival organizers are inviting submissions from filmmakers based in the UK and beyond. Submissions are sought from every genre including drama, animation, documentary, artists moving image, experimental film and music videos.

Two Short Nights brings the city of Exeter an established platform where audiences can enjoy regional, national and international short films. The festival returns in 2018 for its 17th year and promises to deliver a jam-packed programme of screenings, workshops and events for film lovers, filmmakers and industry specialists alike.

Speaking this week, the festival’s curator Alix Taylor said: ‘We are excited to see this year’s submissions and are proud to offer a platform where audiences can enjoy the best short films and nurture new and emerging talent.’

This year’s festival will take place from Wed 28 to Fri 30 Nov 2018 across Exeter Phoenix’s cinema, main auditorium and workshop spaces. It will include screenings, talks, live film pitches and the premiere of 6 films and moving image works commissioned by Exeter Phoenix during 2018.

The early bird deadline for film entries is Sat 31 March, with a final deadline set for August.
