It’s time to dig out those Union flags for the popular Proms at Bicton Park, East Budleigh on Friday 22 July.

The event promises to be a wonderful evening featuring the South West Telecoms band, a male voice choir and opera, in the idyllic setting of the grade 1 listed Italianate gardens, surrounded by immaculately manicured lawns with beautiful flower beds and specimen trees.

More than 800 people attended the last Proms in 2014 raising money for local charity Hospiscare.

The Proms will include songs from musicals and popular operatic arias to be performed by India’s “Pavarotti” Anando Mukerjee and soprano Laure Meloy.

The concert will end with the traditional Proms favourites and a spectacular firework display over the lake.

This year’s Proms at Bicton Park is being kindly sponsored by Brewin Dolphin and The Exeter and is raising funds for local charities, Hospiscare and Dream-A-Way.

The event is taking place with the kind permission of Bicton Botanical Gardens.

Ticket price: Adult £15 Adult Child £7.50.
