Exeter Cathedral will open its doors to the public for a special evening of discovery on Tuesday 19th April 2016 and admission is free.

Visitors will be able to see the stonemasons in action, learn how the library and archive team work to preserve the priceless manuscripts entrusted to their care and enjoy a rare opportunity to explore the Cathedral ‘after hours’.

There will also be crafts for children, demonstrations from the bell ringers, a chance to contribute to the Big LEGO® Build and much more.

Exeter residents will also be able to apply for a free pass granting year-round admission and find out more about getting involved at the Cathedral as a volunteer.

The event starts with Evensong sung by the children and adults of the Cathedral Choir at 5.30pm with activities, displays and exhibitions open from 6.30pm until 8.30pm. Admission is free and members of the public can register in advance to receive a free drink on arrival.
