Selected students spanning all age ranges and from the different dance genres of DanSci Dance Studio had the opportunity to learn from the sensational, multi-award winning James Wilton Dance today.

A workshop held at the studio enabled the dancers to experience working with a professional choreographer. James Wilton himself who is energetic, engaging and inspiring led the workshop which included repertoire from Wilton's current touring work LEVIATHAN, and invited questions from the studio’s dancers.
The physicality of the movement, demonstrated by James’ unique style was accessible and enjoyable for dancers, whilst still being fresh, new and challenging. James and his company stand as exceptional role models for boys and are excellent at encouraging boys who have not danced before to take an interest in dance. It was a great opportunity to experience a professional dance environment.

Toby, a young dancer who participated says; ‘I really enjoyed all of it, especially the partner work which we had never tried before. I'm really looking forward to seeimg the company perform at the Northcott now'

'This was a fantastic opportunity for some of our kids to experience a professional dance workshop. We would like to thank James himself for taking the time to personaly come to the studio. He is really inspirational and I know it will be the talk of the studio for many weeks to come' says Artistic Director of DanSci Dance Studio; Ava Barron Thomas.
