The Bike Shed Theatre offers the people of Exeter a whole host of brilliant plays and productions, and this Christmas looks set to continue that legacy.

From December audiences will be able to come and watch a fantastic new Christmas play, Eliza and The Wild Swans. Eliza and The Wild Swans is a tale of family, love and redemption in a bold adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale Wild Swans. It is being created in collaboration with the acclaimed Wardrobe Ensemble, which uses physical theatre, live music and inventive stagecraft to make theatre which explores, questions, and celebrates human life.

The play is described, by manager Jack Dean, as being perfect for anyone who "Loves a good fable and would like to see something slightly different this Christmas period."

Unfortunately The Bike Shed Theatre consists of a small team, and because of this the theatre are appealing for the people of Exeter’s help. To make the play truly spectacular, The Bike Shed Theatre are appealing for donations and any donation is set to be matched with a parade of gratitude. Each donation amount falls into a Christmas-themed category. People on a budget can donate on a ‘lamb’ level, while those with a bit extra this year can donate on a ‘star’ level.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, receives some form of thank you. This can range from a printed form of gratitude in the programme to a custom made cocktail, or even free tickets. If you would like to see a play produced by the people for the people, please donate. More information about the play and donations can be found at http://www.bikeshedtheatre.co.uk/about/christmasfund/ .
