Thomas Hall Pupils Celebrate Kindness During Anti-Bullying Week
Pupils at Thomas Hall School, part of the Reach South Academy Trust, have come together to champion kindness as part of this year’s national Anti-Bullying Week.
During the week, pupils took part in assemblies focused on kindness, reinforcing the school’s commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels welcome and valued.
As part of the initiative, staff and pupils wore odd socks to celebrate individuality and spark conversations about respect, difference, and standing up for others. Activities across the week encouraged pupils to reflect on how their actions can promote empathy and help everyone feel safe and supported.
Thomas Hall School prides itself on its strong sense of community, ensuring all students are encouraged to make a positive difference in the world.
This year’s Anti-Bullying Week theme, ‘Power for Good’, was chosen following consultation with teachers and pupils by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, which coordinates the campaign. The theme encourages young people to channel their influence into positive actions that challenge bullying and build a kinder school culture.
Phil Arnold, Headteacher of Thomas Hall School, said:
“It was wonderful to see our pupils engaging with kindness in such a fun and meaningful way. Small gestures can have a big impact, and this week reminded everyone that celebrating individuality helps build a stronger, more supportive school community.”
