Following the recent success of the Performance Related Pay seminar held in Gloucester, Classpeople will be holding a second at Exeter Racecourse.

Classpeople will be hosting the opportunity for teachers and schools' senior management to discuss recent changes to teacher pay legislation on March 19 at Exeter Racecourse.

"The proposed changes to teachers' salary means awareness must be raised on how this will affect teaching staff and ensure schools are prepared for these reforms. We've invited teachers and schools across Devon to attend the event after a successful session in Gloucestershire yielded positive results." Said Samantha Leach, Classpeople's Exeter Branch Manager.

Sam added: "With Performance Related Pay being enforced as of September 2014 it is imperative that teachers and schools alike remain informed and up to date with options available to them. These changes give schools the opportunity to reward and recognise the teachers that work the hardest - this seminar is intended to ensure both parties receive all the information they require in light of the Government's changes to teacher pay."

"As Executive Headteacher at Bishops Cleeve Primary School and CEO of Gloucestershire Learning Alliance, Steve Savory was our first choice to give the lecture. His longstanding experience in a school setting and as a senior leader within the school, Steve is ideally placed to provide the very best advice to the attendees of Classpeople's pay seminar." Sam commented.

Two seminars will be held, the first designed for school management teams with the provision to impart crucial information and to make preparation for the implementation of the new payment schemes as easy and efficiently as possible. The second will be aimed at teaching staff, specifically Supply and how it can ensure we react positively to school needs.

Sam added: "For some of our teachers, the uncertainty of what will happen to their pay-scale come September is a worry. However, we believe that through this seminar our teachers will gain more information about the effects these changes will have and how this can positively impact their pay and career development. The session is equally as important for schools to attend as organisation and planning is key to ensuring all teachers are graded equally and given the opportunities they deserve."
