Girls at The Maynard School in Exeter got into the spirit of things to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday on Thursday.

Everyone dressed for the day in red, white and blue and, following a quick assembly, great fun was had by all in making the number 90 on the tennis courts outside the main school building.

In this formation, they even managed a quick rendition of ‘Happy Birthday to You’ followed by a solo saxophonist playing a very poignant national anthem before returning to their classrooms.
