Children at Exminster Pre-school are thrilled to have raised £400 for Sports Relief 2016.

The children, all aged between 2 and 4 years, took part in a sponsored obstacle course organised by Pre-school staff; they carried 1 or 2 litre bottles of water around the obstacle course so they could start to gain an understanding of what some families in Africa have to do in order to get drinking water to their home.

All the money raised by the children at Exminster Pre-school will go to Sports Relief, helping some of the most vulnerable people in both the UK and the world’s poorest countries.

Leah Barnes, Manager of Exminster Pre-school, said: “We are so proud of all our children who took part in the assault course; they really embraced it and carrying the water helped to make them aware of what children in Africa have to go through just to have clean drinking water.

“We are amazed at how much was raised and the children are absolutely delighted knowing the difference this money will make to the lives of others.  We’d also like to extend our thanks to everyone who sponsored the children – it really was a fantastic effort!”
