Vertu MINI Exeter is supporting North Devon Hospice, as part of MINI’s Local MINI Hero initiative, which encourages dealerships to actively support and celebrate their local communities.

As part of this special partnership, Vertu MINI Exeter will be sponsoring and attending two major fundraising events for the hospice this year – its recent Nightwalk, and the North Devon Marathon, which is set to take place on 29th June. Local home builder and charity join forces to help fight cancer

An Exeter-based organisation has been selected by Bovis Homes’ South West regional staff as their charity for 2018, as they look to raise more money than ever before for a cause close to their hearts.

Staff at the housebuilder’s Exeter office have decided to raise funds for FORCE Cancer Charity, a local organisation which is currently supporting a Bovis Homes colleague who has been diagnosed with the disease.

PEOPLE in the South West are being challenged to row a marathon in March as part of an oar-some fundraising effort for Cancer Research UK.

In partnership with the renowned Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race, now known as The Cancer Research UK Boat Race, the charity is encouraging people to go the distance and cover 26.2 miles in stages or in one go, anytime in March.

The Exeter office of PKF Francis Clark has raised £8797.92 for local adult hospice charity Hospiscare after it was named its charity of the year for 2017.

Seven members of staff at the Exeter accountants undertook the Three Peaks Challenge, one of the most challenging mountaineering events in the UK. They raised over £2,000 scaling Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike in 24 hours. The Exeter office also organised dress down days, bake sales and Christmas and Easter competitions.

Making art for charity

Exeter Junior School pupils are proud to contribute to Young Devon Art and raise money for charity in the process.

Pupils at the independent co-education school created pictures based on the theme 'What makes me happy' for the Young Devon Art Exhibition in aid of Cancer Research as part of the school's Art Club. They each donated £2 for the cancer charity alongside their artwork.

The Premier League Primary Stars Kit and Equipment Scheme is offering free football kit and equipment to primary schools in an effort to inspire children to learn, engage and be active.

Women and girls we have a date for your diaries! Saturday 7th July sees the return of the annual Hospiscare Twilight Walk . This year’s theme is “Pink Fizz”, so dig out all things pink to wear and there will be a glass of 'fizz' waiting for you on your return. Staff at Mercedes-Benz of Exeter joined the fight against heart disease by holding a Cake Sale for their customers on Valentine’s day. The local community came out in force to show their support of the nation’s heart charity with the team raising over £120 throughout the day.
