Vertu MINI Exeter is supporting North Devon Hospice, as part of MINI’s Local MINI Hero initiative, which encourages dealerships to actively support and celebrate their local communities.

As part of this special partnership, Vertu MINI Exeter will be sponsoring and attending two major fundraising events for the hospice this year – its recent Nightwalk, and the North Devon Marathon, which is set to take place on 29th June. Attendees can look out for two stunning MINI vehicles on display at each event, as the dealership showcases its commitment to the cause and community.

Golf Section raises £17,150 for local ChariTEE

Local charity Rainbow Living are thrilled to have been presented with a cheque for £17,150 from the Golf Section at Exeter Golf and Country Club following a fantastic year of fundraising as the Golf Captain’s Charity of the Year.

Golf Captains Pete Bennett and Ali Crooks significantly exceeded their initial target of raising £10,000 for Rainbow Living, as their fundraising efforts were so well supported across the 12 months.

Charities that enhance and often saves the lives of Devon people have received £50,000 to continue their amazing work.

The supermarket chain is marking its Centenary year with two special Bags of Help funding rounds, with a huge £100,000 funding pot in Devon.

The first of these special rounds concentrated on groups delivering health and wellbeing benefits. In first place, Devon Air Ambulance Trust has been awarded £25,000. In second place, HeadsUP Mental Health Awareness Limited has been awarded £15,000. In third place, Pete's Dragons has been awarded £10,000.

Children’s Hospice South West is calling on companies to help sponsor one of its children’s nurses this Christmas.

The charity, which runs children’s hospices in Bristol, St Austell and Barnstaple is asking firms to pledge £1,000 towards its ‘Sponsor a Nurse’ appeal and help make Christmas just that little bit more special for local families this year.

Families for Children are delighted to be the nominated as charity of the year by Figgy Puddings based in Devon.

The Business husband and wife team Richie and Jo Evans, (plus two rapidly growing helpers) have always made their own Christmas Puddings, and often gave them as Christmas presents for friends and family.

They received such glowing feedback that they decided to sell them, starting with just a hundred puddings which quickly sold out.

Taylor Wimpey Exeter tees off to raise money for life saving research

Dedicated Taylor Wimpey staff in Exeter showed they’re all heart by raising an incredible £11,500 for the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) life saving research.

On Friday 13 September, employees of the housebuilding company held their annual golf charity day for the second year in support of the BHF in the fight against heart disease. Over the last two years, they have raised more than £15,000.

Every Spring and Autumn Freemasons from all around Devon meet to support local organisations and charities who are require financial assistance, amongst those included are Schools, Youth Centres and locally based charities including Hospices, Hospital Services and Cancer Charities.

Redrow Homes South West has supported a number of deserving causes in the Okehampton community – home to its new Romansfield development – through the creation of a fund for local organisations.

Award-winning south west estate agents and chartered surveyors Whitton & Laing have generously donated £1,884 to Exeter-based ‘Balloons’, a charity who help support bereaved children and their families.
