Bishop Fleming’s Exeter and Torquay offices are celebrating a successful year-long partnership with FORCE Cancer Charity, raising over £8,000 to support people affected by cancer across the region.

The collaboration formed part of the firm’s 1% for Communities initiative, launched in July 2024, which pledges to give back 1% of Bishop Fleming’s turnover through fundraising, volunteering, and community-focused projects.

FORCE Cancer Charity, which supports residents affected by cancer in Exeter and the wider Devon community, has received a £25,000 donation from social impact company Omaze, following its latest house draw in the region.

FORCE works with thousands of people – patients and their families – every year to help them through the most difficult time of their lives. Anyone needing support can simply drop into our Centre in Exeter or book an appointment at our outreach locations in Ottery St Mary and Okehampton.

Devon Air Ambulance's first Mishap Fashion charity shop

Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) launched the Mishap Fashion range in the summer of 2022, taking on a pioneering approach to garments that charity shops would not typically resell. The charity has simply decided to ‘rebrand’ items that have a minor ‘mishap,’ such as a missing button, a broken zipper, or a dropped hem, which might otherwise be in particularly good condition.

DAA now offers these items in certain locations on a special rail with the ‘mishap’ identified so that shoppers still have the chance to purchase the item and give it a new lease of life rather than it having to be...

Bishop Fleming employees raise over £4,500 for Devon charity

Employees at the Exeter and Torquay offices of leading audit, accountancy, tax and advisory firm Bishop Fleming have raised £4,505 for a Devon-based charity.

Earlier this year the two offices announced their partnership with Devon Wildlife Trust as their chosen charity of the year.

The firm, which delivers accounting, tax and advisory services to businesses, academies and charities and private wealth advice to individuals, held a charity quiz at Sandy Park on 23 November to support the work of the Devon-based charity.
