Exminster residents came out in force when Father Christmas made a special visit to the village.

Santa delighted young and old alike as he toured the village in a red Morgan, donated for the event by Berrybrook Garage.  The event was supported by the whole community with local shops, businesses and St Martins choir all getting involved.

The event, run by Exminster Pre-school, is a popular annual tradition in the village, and this year residents dug deep, donating a total of £233.97.

The Christmas Bazaar was held the following day at Victory Hall, raising a further £1,500 for the Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ village Pre-school.

Gemma Austin, Chair of the Exminster Pre-school Committee and event organiser, said: “We’re absolutely delighted at the support shown for both Santa’s tour and our Christmas Bazaar!  Massive thanks to everyone who helped in so many different ways to make both events such good fun.  We are very grateful for all the amazing donations – all money raised will be used to further develop our pre-school facilities, in particular the outdoor area.”
