Freemasons donate £5,000 to local charity

Devon Freemasons have donated £5,000 to Devon Community Foundation (DCF) to help support people in need across the county.

On Thursday 12th February the Chief Executive DCF, Martha Wilkinson was delighted to be presented with the cheque by Ian Kingsbury, the Provincial Grand Master of Devonshire Freemasons.

The generous gift will be allocated to the Foundation’s Community Grants, supporting the hundreds of voluntary and community groups helping local people to build better and more inclusive communities for everyone.

Ian Kingsbury said: “I am delighted to be able to assist such a worthwhile and important local organisation, helping them to reach out to those most in need in our local communities.

Martha Wilkinson commented: “We are extremely grateful for this donation, it will enable us to support even more amazing local groups and volunteers working to make our neighbourhoods better places to live and work. This support will help us reach the most in need in our local communities and have a significant impact on thousands of lives.”
