Dispute resolution expert Simon Bean has joined Everys Solicitors in Exeter to enhance its strong litigation team.

A former head of dispute resolution, Mr Bean joined Everys from Dyne Drewett in Somerset having previously worked at Michelmores, where he undertook and developed specialist experience in all types of employment work, debt recovery and commercial disputes, including disputes between directors, shareholders, partnership disputes, contractual issues and professional negligence claims. Mr Bean also has experience in intellectual property disputes and defamation.

A leading local motors business is helping keep a South Devon animal charity on the move by sponsoring a brand new car.

Murray Volkswagen, Newton Abbot, has presented a new Volkswagen up! to Animals in Distress, where it is set to cut a dash travelling between the charity’s 13 shops in towns including Bovey Tracey, Dawlish, Brixham and the newly opened Dartmouth shop.

A new store manager has been appointed at Fairway Furniture’s Newton Abbot branch.

Andy Green, 46, said his main focus at the Newton Road branch in Kingsteignton will be on enhancing the customer experience.

Exmouth builders merchant needs your tools!

The Exmouth branch of RGB Building Supplies has joined forces with Exeter Age UK supported group, Men in Sheds, to launch a Tool Amnesty on Monday 7 April.

RGB is asking people to donate any old or unused hand tools to the Tool Amnesty in return for a £5 voucher to spend in branch.

All the donated tools will be given to Men in Sheds who will renovate and refurbish them so that tool kits can be sent to Africa, via the charity Tools for Self Reliance, to help locals learn a trade and support their local communities.
