Radiance MediSpa hold their first corporate event

Exeter-based Radiance MediSpa run by mother and daughter team Dr Ros Debenham and Katie Debenham hosted its first corporate event since opening in the spring. The title of this month’s event was ‘Visioning your business’. The luxurious venue was utilised by GrowthAccelerator which helps small businesses expand with on-going support for business strategy.

Guests were welcomed with a glass of champagne and enjoyed taster sessions from Radiance MediSpa therapists followed by presentations from Katharine Bourke of GrowthAccelerator and Dr Ros Debenham.

Law firm merger announced

Law firm Gilbert Stephens LLP has formally announced its merger with Symes Robinson Lee, an established and well respected legal practice located in Exeter, Crediton and Budleigh Salterton.

The merger, which came into effect on Monday 1 July, was formally announced during an event held at the Exeter Golf and Country Club and the new partnership will see the multi-role solicitor firm double in size, growing to over 100 employees.

New tool makes late payments for an Exeter-based business a thing of the past

Online Direct Debit payments provider, GoCardless, has launched an online payment tool to enable greater numbers of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) across the UK to collect variable one-off and recurring payments by Direct Debit.

Traditionally only larger, more established businesses such as utilities providers and mobile operators have been able to access the infrastructure which underpins the Direct Debit system. As a result, SMEs were excluded from accessing the system by the banks, and forced to cede control of when they are paid to unreliable customers.

Premier Communication Electronics (PCE) has won the Federation of Communication Services’ (FCS) Installer of the Year award for the fourth time.

The Exeter-based radio and mobile communications specialist won the industry award for its work in installing radio equipment and 360-degree covert lights and sirens into a South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust officer’s car.

Premier Communication Electronics (PCE) has purchased new premises in Exeter to accommodate its economic trend-bucking business growth.

The new much larger site in Bittern Road is a short journey from the two-way radio and in-vehicle communications specialist’s current premises in Osprey Road, also on the Sowton Industrial Estate.
