An Exeter based investment management business has produced a novel idea to promote its brand by launching a specially brewed beer , the first stone brewed ale in Britain for 100 years.

Dan Constable, the Head of Business Development at Hawksmoor Investment Management, thought of the using a bespoke beer as a marketing tool for use at events and took the idea to Briarbank Brewery on a visit to the firm’s Ipswich office.

An Exeter-based promotions firm that launched a product designed to save lives with a national awareness campaign has been experiencing mounting interest in the UK and abroad as the campaign gathers momentum.

The Purple Company, situated in Marsh Barton, is highlighting the need to test domestic smoke alarms SAFELY with a product called the GOODPOINT Smoke Alarm Tester. Over 100 people attended this month’s Exeter Chamber lunch which was held at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) last week.

The judging panel for the 11th annual Startups Awards has been announced, with some of the greatest business brains in Britain set to assess entrants across the South West.

Nineteen high profile judges have been selected, including entrepreneurs, CEOs and managing directors of the country’s most successful companies, as well as media experts.

Exeter-based Blue Chip Holidays, the South West’s largest provider of four- and five-star self catering holiday homes, is celebrating taking on its 1,000th property, putting it well on its way to achieving its ambitious growth targets for the year.
