Simpkins Edwards supports GPs with practice-focused event
South West accountancy firm Simpkins Edwards is providing valuable support to GPs aiming to run their practices better, with the return of a popular one-day event.
Aptly titled ‘The Business of General Practice’, the free event at Sandy Park on Tuesday September 16 covers topics that are critical to General Practice. These include ways to navigate rising staff costs and company structures strategically to strengthen a practice's financial strategy and long-term sustainability; an overview of the NHS Pension Scheme; and data-driven benchmarking insights.
In a highly topical session, the potential to improve sustainability in a practice will be explored by Karen Creffield from Frome Medical Practice, which has successfully implemented multiple sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction and energy efficiency into daily processes.
For other sessions, expert advice will be delivered by Jenna Clark, Simpkins Edwards Director of Healthcare Services; George York from Aquila Financial Management; Seb Beard, Simpkins Edwards Partner; Healthcare Consultant Lucie Simic and Ian Crompton from Primary Care Finance.
An interactive session, which proved successful at a previous event, will give delegates the opportunity to discuss real-world challenges with fellow professionals. The packed agenda also includes time for networking.
