Simpkins Edwards announces strategic acquisition
South West accountancy firm Simpkins Edwards has expanded with the acquisition of Redmayne & Co, a long-established practice in Kingsteignton, South Devon.
The opportunity arose after founder Andrew Redmayne announced his retirement after 42 years. As both businesses are independent with a local focus, the move was deemed mutually expedient.
Simpkins Edwards has pledged to continue building on the relationships that Redmayne & Co developed with local businesses and individuals. The transition will be seamless with the added benefit of existing clients having access to an even broader range of services and expertise.
Associate Julie Rose and Director Maddy Sutton will lead the majority of these client engagements, supported by experienced Partners from Simpkins Edwards as needed.
Of the acquisition, Simpkins Edwards Managing Partner, Mark Simic said: “This strengthens our presence in the local area, allowing us to better serve businesses and individuals across the region. With over five decades of experience serving diverse clients throughout the South West, we bring extensive knowledge across multiple industry sectors to support our expanded client base.
“Our commitment remains unchanged: providing expert, personalised advice that helps our clients navigate challenges and achieve their business objectives with confidence. We are delighted to welcome Redmayne & Co's clients and look forward to building lasting relationships that support their continued success.”
Simpkins Edwards have hosted two open evenings at its Bovey Tracey office to smooth the transition for Redmayne clients, offering them the opportunity to meet the wider team and discuss ongoing support for their accounting and business advisory needs. Any further clients wishing to meet the team are welcome to take up an initial consultation appointment free of charge.
