
Promotion of high flyers at Stephens Scown
Stephens Scown LLP has announced five senior promotions of solicitors to Associate status.
The Dispute Resolution team benefits from the promotion of Catherine Brealey and Michael Davies. Catherine qualified as a solicitor in 2008 after training with Stephens Scown. She has a particular interest in property related disputes. Catherine grew up in Cornwall and gained a degree in Law from Exeter University. Exeter based Michael joined Stephens Scown in 2011 having worked for leading commercial firms in Manchester and Cardiff. He advises a broad range of clients - including a premiership football player and a disc jockey!
Giles Dunning joined the Exeter Corporate team in 2009 after training with Stephens Scown and deals with corporate transactional work. He also advises on various aspects of intellectual property and a wide range of commercial agreements.
Chris Tofts joined the Planning team at Stephens Scown in 2012 from Cornwall Council Pricing Department, bringing with him a wide range and depth of planning experience, spanning minerals and mining, environmental matters and highways issues. Formerly an Air Engineering Officer at RNAS Culdrose, he qualified with a degree in aerospace systems engineering before changing career to qualify as a solicitor.
Karan Toor joined Stephens Scown in July 2012 and is based in the Renewable Energy team in Exeter, advising on a broad range of energy projects including wind, solar, biomass and anaerobic digestion. Karan was previously based at Drax Power.
