Jamie Bartlett, journalist, BBC presenter and author of the famed work, The Dark Net, will be visiting Exeter on Wednesday 6 March to present to business owners at a free to attend event.

Jamie is the keynote speaker at the south west-based Bluegrass Group’s one-day conference, "Protect, Detect, Mitigate", during their Cyber Security Awareness Week (CSAW).

An engaging speaker, Jamie will be giving delegates an insight into the digital underworld and the real threat to SMEs. Having interviewed trolls and pornographers, drug dealers and hackers, political extremists and computer scientists Jamie will shine a spotlight on the hidden corners of the internet.

David Thomas, Managing Director of Bluegrass Group, commented: “We’re excited that Jamie is coming to Exeter to share his discoveries and enlighten businesses on the real world of cyber crime.  Cyber security is a primary risk to all businesses large or small so Jamie’s presentation will be invaluable to local businesses."

Joining Jamie at the conference will be a fantastic line-up of expert speakers who will provide attendees with the solutions to today's cyber security challenges.

The conference is open to all, free to attend, and can be booked HERE.

Now in its third year, CSAW is the brainchild of Bluegrass Group, a provider of industry-leading, outsourced IT support services. CSAW is designed to educate and inform south west businesses to help them conquer the growing cyber threat.

As well as the one-day conference, there will be an evening networking event, a day of webinar sessions, a lunchtime roundtable session, and four cyber breakfasts.

The full programme is available to view HERE.
