Dick Strawbridge to speak at The Exeter Chamber Annual Business Dinner

Exeter Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce TV presenter, inventor and ecologist Dick Strawbridge will be speaking at this year’s annual Business Dinner. This prestigious black-tie event, taking place on Friday 11th October at Sandy Park is seen as one of the highlights of the Exeter business calendar and will welcome more than 200 business representatives from across the region.

The Chamber is also happy to report that Ashfords LLP are to be this year’s sponsors for the annual Business Dinner.
Andrew Perkins of Ashfords LLP said, “"We're delighted to be supporting this year's dinner. Exeter is a key market place for us as a firm and supporting and recognising the work that the Chamber of Commerce do for local businesses is something that is very important to us. The evening is set to be a very enjoyable one, providing an excellent opportunity to mix with contacts from the Exeter region, as well as celebrating the successes enjoyed by local businesses over the past year".

After starting his career in the Army, Dick appeared on our screens as a team leader and later TV presenter on the much loved programme, ‘Scrapheap Challenge’. Following this he, along with his family, filmed ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green’, which followed their move to Cornwall and their attempt to live as green a life as possible. Dick has since appeared on screens in ‘Coast’ alongside his son James, ‘The Hungry Sailors’, ‘Saturday Farm’ and ‘Celebrity Masterchef’ where he wowed judges with his dishes to make it to the Finals, narrowly losing out to Lisa Faulkner.

Excited to speak at the Business Dinner, Dick said, “I am looking forward to speaking at the Exeter Business Dinner this year. I have very fond memories of Exeter having visited it many times in the past, even winning a game of rugby against the University team in the 1980s.”

Derek Phillips, Vice Chairman of Exeter Chamber of Commerce said, “We are very much looking forward to this year’s Exeter Business Dinner and hearing Dick Strawbridge speak. Last year’s event was a great success and we are sure that this year will be no exception.”

Attendees can look forward a sparkling wine reception followed by a sumptuous four course feast which will include a delicious selection local produce and quality wines.
Tickets for this event are priced at £60 per person or £550 for a table of 10.
