Crealy announce Employee of the Year awards

Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park has announced its employee of the year award to two members of staff.

Tim Leathers and Michael Payne-Hilton have been awarded the accolade for their hard work and commitment at the Park throughout 2014. The Employees of Year have been awarded with all-expenses paid trip to Disney World, Orlando.

This amazing prize also includes a week’s stay in a luxury hotel on the famous International Drive and tickets to Disney World and Universal Studios in May.

Tim Leathers, one of Devon’s Crealy ride operators and Michael Payne-Hilton, a member of the Crealy maintenance team were awarded Employees of Year following receiving consistently positive feedback from guests, team members and recognition from the management team. Josh Haywood presented them both with their awards and prizes at the annual ceremony attended by more than 100 employees at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park on 16th February.

Tim Leathers started at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park in February 2014 as a Ride Operator, Tim was recognised for going above and beyond his duties, constantly delivering experiences and showing that nothing is too much trouble.  He has now been offered an extended contract as a result of his dedication and hard work. 

The second award was presented to Michael Payne-Hilton of the Maintenance Team. Michael started at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park in 2010 on a work experience placement and was then employed on a permanent, par time basis. Michael spent his last two years studying Electrical Engineering at Exeter College and is now part of the Crealy apprenticeship scheme.

Josh Haywood, General Manager of Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park said: “Both Tim and Michael thoroughly deserve their awards after all the hard work they have put it in. The trip to Disney World is something that all our employees strive to work towards. We pride ourselves on our quality of staff and level of customer service provided by our whole team.”

The annual Crealy recruitment weekend will take place on Friday 13th March from noon–7pm and Saturday 14 March from 11am–4pm at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park and Princesshay, Exeter respectively from 11am – 3pm.
