Construction company celebrates 25 years in business

One of the South West’s leading building contractors is celebrating 25 years in the construction industry. TEC Construction, which was founded in 1987 by its current Managing Director Tony Carson, reached its quarter of a century milestone earlier this month.

The multi-disciplined construction and maintenance company is a family-run business based across four sites in Exeter, Torquay, Plymouth and the recently opened Cheltenham branch. The company offers new builds and refurbishments for the public and private sectors.

Over the years TEC Construction has provided internal and external refurbishment to some of the most notable buildings throughout the region, including Exeter University and the Grade II Listed Millfields development, which was shortlisted for the LAB 2011 building excellence awards.

Tony, who has retained the Managing Director role for 25 years, says the key to success is down to the company’s hard work and the wide variety of services on offer.

Tony said: “When I first started the company we mainly carried out general building work such as loft conversions and extensions, but now our offering has grown to include everything from office fit outs to state-of-the-art laboratories and schools. “But at the heart of everything we do is our commitment to understanding exactly what our clients need. On every job we work extremely hard to deliver the right service at the right cost – whether it’s reacting to an emergency call out or a £1 million refurbishment project.
