Time to enter the DEBI Green Awards!

Devon green businesses and organisations are reminded to get their entries in for the 2016 Devon Environmental Business Initiative (DEBI) Awards.

The awards are open to businesses, community groups and educational establishments located in the county. Entry is free and all those who make the shortlist will be invited to the free awards event on November 24th at the Met Office. Each shortlisted entry is visited by the panel of judges before final judging, which takes place in November.

This year's categories include 'Made in Devon', 'Enjoyed in Devon', 'Educated in Devon' and 'Public Service in Devon.'

Previous winners include the Real Food Store, Higher Wiscombe, Twool, Devon Wildlife Trust, St Sidwells Primary School, Bike Bank, Ode True Food and Chunky Monkey, highlighting the diversity of entries received each year. 

This year's awards sponsors are: G4S Carbon & Energy, Trinity Fire & Security, JP Associates, Exeter Airport, South West Water, with additional support from Otter Nurseries and Bandvulc Group. The event is made possible by the generosity of the Met Office.

The deadline for entries is Friday, September 30 at 5.30pm.
