South West Truck and Trailer Parts and Banner Batteries are on a drive to promote their developing association throughout the South West. And what better way to do so than via a striking and highly visual van wrap that is set to become a familiar sight amongst Banner’s South West distributor’s customers across Devon and Cornwall.

Operating between the Head Office of South West Truck and Trailer Parts in Launceston, Cornwall and their Plymouth-based Devon branch, the co-branded Citroen Berlingo van features Banner Batteries iconic ‘Wall Street’ bull logo.

Commenting on the decision to go mobile with their association with Banner Batteries, Nick Ching, founder and director of the one-stop shop for truck and van parts in the South West, said: “Since becoming Banner Batteries’ distributor for the South West in 2018, the relationship has gone from strength-to-strength, hence the decision to put the van wrapped Berlingo on the road. Indeed given the fact that South West Truck and Trailer Parts almost exclusively suppliesBanner’s CV and battery product offering in the South West, the co-branded van is a sure-fire way of driving home this message.

“We were attracted to Banner not just because of their O/E pedigree and reputation for producing the highest quality heavy duty commercial vehiclebatteries money can by, but because they, like us, are a family run business, albeit on a global scale.

“We enjoy an excellent working relationship with Banner, who remain in regular contact with us at all times. This really is one of the differentiators in comparison to some other suppliers,” he concludes.

Reciprocating, Banner Batteries’ Country Manager, Lee Quinney added: “In developing our relationship with South West Truck and Trailer Parts, Banner has been able to secure a significant increase in market penetration within the CV and light commercial vehicles sectors of what is a strategically important territory when it comes to the transportation of goods. We are confident that the visual presence of the van wrap will only serve to promote our association with them as we come out of lockdown.”

Manufactured in Austria, Banner is the ultimate battery in terms of quality, durability, power and longevity. Indeed Banner Batteries is the preferred choice of Mercedes Trucks, Liebherr, Kassbohrer, Kubuto and Caterpillar.

Not surprisingly, South West Truck and Trailer Parts product focus levitates around the Buffalo Bull. Positioned at the top end of the market, the SHD PROfessional is a Buffalo Bull with a difference.

Totally maintenance-free, key features include Banner Batteries’ use of a continuous ConCast process for the production of negative mesh to increase frame stability and reduced production tolerances. New mesh and plate design provide optimum electrical conductance and ensure the battery is insensitive to high current loads, which is a clear advantage for full cold start performance under all operational conditions.

The inherent design characteristics of the SHD PROfessional also contribute to improved working/operational safety. Driving this are features such as patented, four-chamber leak protection and central degassing, integrated captive backfire protection, not to mention purge protector safety screws and innovative ‘PinFin’ short circuit protectors.

Echoing the SHD PROfessional’s ability to withstand cyclical and vibration resistance to a top E4/V3 rating pursuant to EN 50342-1, Buffalo Bull SHD is an equally powerful and rugged performer.  So too is the entry level Buffalo Bull that is available for niche and supplementary types of agricultural machinery and unusual commercial vehicle applications.
