Matthew Still, from Bovey Tracey, and Philip Thitchener, from Exeter, are celebrating their one and a half work anniversaris with award-winning wealth management company Brewin Dolphin.

As part of Brewin Dolphin’s emerging specialist service provision for solicitors and accountants, Matthew joined the company six months ago to head up relationship management with the legal and accountancy industry across the South West region.  With years of previous senior level experience in the Law Society, he has been busy building partnerships with professionals throughout the Exeter area who need to access the bespoke financial advice that Brewin Dolphin’s South West team provide.

“Divorce, clinical negligence, company exits, powers of attorney and inheritance are just some of the issues that often require support with financial management,” explained Matthew. “Our wealth managers are trained and trusted to understand not only a client’s situation, but also what is important to solicitors and accountants when helping them make well-informed choices.”

Philip Thitchener is also marking his first year working with Brewin Dolphin’s Exeter office as a business development manager. Having spent the best part of his career providing investment solutions to independent financial advisors (IFAs), he is helping to put a regional investment strategy in place that benefits both clients and the professionals guiding them.

“There’s a perception that wealth management is all about helping the very well off, but we’re here to advise IFAs whose clients want to make the most of their assets,” said Philip. “Someone who might have received compensation for an injury, for example, an inheritance or money from a business deal or marital breakdown. Whatever the circumstances and whatever the desired outcome – be it growth or income - we have investment managers in place who can work with financial advisers on individualised investment portfolios.”

Based in Woodwater Park, Pynes Hill, Brewin Dolphin’s Exeter team won the ‘Best DFM (Discretionary Fund Manager) in the South West’ title at the prestigious Citywire Wealth Manager Regional Stars Awards 2017. For more information, visit www.brewin.co.uk
