Police investigating a dangerous driving offence are trying to trace the occupants of a vehicle in Exeter after it may have been reversed into by a car attempting to escape from officers.

A marked police vehicle was rammed by a blue Ford Ka in Holly Road at around 11.30am on Wednesday 30 December.

Officers believe the Ka may have also reversed into a light coloured Peugeot 106 that had a learner plate on the bonnet.

A 19-year-old man from Exeter has been arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified, aggravated vehicle taking and failing to stop for police. He has been released on bail until 25 February 2016.

Officers are keen to speak to the people in the car as they may be able to assist with enquiries.

The occupants of the Peugeot 106, and anyone else with information, are asked to call 101 or email 101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk, quoting reference CR/089311/15.

Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or reporting online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
