If art and crafts are your thing, then don’t miss the Scruff n’ Ken Arts n’ Crafts day on June 25th 2017. The event, held at America Hall in Exeter will be bursting with local talent for all enthusiasts to learn new skills, ask questions and purchase beautifully crafted gifts alongside other fabulous stalls.

Sarah Gregori, Events Manager and founder of Scruff n’ Ken said “the amount of wonderful crafts people and other stall holders that are asking to support us on this day is just fantastic. I just couldn’t imagine the event growing the way that it has.”

With over 20 stalls and local food stalls there will be a lot to offer whatever your interests. London based author of ‘Homes – Make your space move your mind’, Hannah Jackson, is making a special appearance and be there to help enhance your well-being. For a minimum £1 donation to the BHF, bring along a sketch or photograph of a space in your home where you spend most of your time and boost your comfort.

The event is being held in aid of the British Heart Foundation, with all proceeds being donated by Scruff n’ Ken.

“I often get asked ‘Why the name Scruff n’ Ken?’ Well the whole idea surrounding the business and meaning of the company is our parents. Our Mother was always immaculate so our Dad’s pet name for her was Scruff and well you can guess he was called Ken and so because of our parents the British Heart Foundation has really become a very personal charity to us and if we can raise funds and awareness in some way then this is something that we will strive to do. It would really mean something to my brother, sisters and myself if you came along and supported us at this event”.

The event is for all the family, so bring along your husbands and children, friends and grandparents, as alongside the main attraction, Edd the Magician will be mesmerising audiences, and there will be other entertainment including a bouncy castle, face painting and even a raffle, if you are feeling lucky.

The event takes place at America Hall, De La Rue Way, Exeter, EX4 8PX. The event will start at 10am and finish at 3pm. Sarah is still taking bookings for sellers, so please contact; info@scruffnken.co.uk

Joy Petley, BHF Fundraising Manager for Devon and Cornwall said:  “It’s going to be a fantastic day with so much to look at, and purchase a great chance for fellow crafters to network. I can’t thank Scruff n’ Ken enough for putting on this amazing event for the British Heart Foundation”.

“Here in the South West, cardiac arrest survival rate is lower than the UK average, with less than 1 in 11 people surviving a cardiac arrest outside of hospital. If you would like to support the British Heart Foundation, contact Petleyj@bhf.org.uk”.
