As twinkly lights appear and thoughts turn to Christmas shopping, Gandy Street's Countdown to Christmas will set the season off, not just with a bang, but with lights, music, mince pies, fizz, discounts AND SNOW!!

On 24 November, Gandy Street traders will once again take to the cobbled street to welcome Christmas shoppers with a spectacular Christmas Festival. And this year looks set
to be bigger and better than ever.

Shoppers can expect a winter wonderland with all kinds of treats in the form of goodie bags, mulled wine, prosecco, mince pies, chocolate treats, macarons not to mention offers and discounts all the way up and down the street. There will also be snow, courtesy of The Vaults and Show Bitz, street performers, street musicians and live bands performing at your favourite Gandy Street Bars.

Drawing a special Christmas Charity raffle for Children’s Hospice South West on the night, will be Judi Spiers, one of the best known and loved faces and voices of the West Country.

Judi is also looking forward to the event, saying: “It is a pleasure and a privilege to be in a position to be able to raise awareness and funds for charity …especially when mulled wine and mince pies are on offer!”

Pulling together this very special evening is Philippa Rutherford, Exeter Bid Representative and Owner of Mantis.

Philippa said: "We’re thrilled Judi is joining us on the night, she is held in such great affection in this region – we’re really looking forward to welcoming her to the street.”

"We’re very proud of what Gandy Street has to offer as a street well populated by independent businesses – we’re really excited to treat our customers and shoppers to this celebration.”
