Local Vauxhall retailer, Eden Motor Group, recently brewed up a massive £15,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support after taking part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’.

Eden Motor Group, with dealerships in Exeter, Honiton, Newton Abbot and Torquay, served up slices of cake and numerous cuppas on 29th September in order to raise much needed funds for the charity. What’s more, a group of brave men from the Eden dealership in Exeter were also stripped bare for the cause after having their legs waxed, and a senior member of the Eden management team also took part in an exercise bike marathon to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan.

After raising £13,700 during last year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning, the Eden Motor Group dealerships were eager to beat previous efforts, so James Kurd, General Manager at Eden, generously matched this year’s fundraising amount of £7,600 to make it the grand total of £15,200.

James Kurd comments: “It gave us great pleasure to once again take part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ for Macmillan – and raising more than £15,000 really was just the icing on the cake!

“The team here are all really proud they were able to do their bit and raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all local motorists who stopped by and helped contribute to such a worthy cause.”
