National award for family law specialists

The Family Law Company was named Family Law Regional Firm of the Year South in the prestigious Jordan Publishing Family Law Awards.

Business Development Director and Director of Legal Services, Rachel Buckley said: “We were thrilled to receive this award; it is a real testament to the hard work and commitment of the whole team to ensure that families going through a stressful experience receive the best possible service.

“It’s an award that should resonate with our clients, too, as it confirms we really are at the top of the tree for family law in the region.”

The Family Law Company, with offices in Exeter and Plymouth, is the largest provider of specialist family law services in the South West, handling well in excess of 1500 cases each year.

In keeping with its aim to help everyone have access to legal services after the withdrawal of Legal Aid for many, the company has a subsidised scheme based on means testing criteria.

The award was collected by Rachel and fellow Director, Donna Hart. Donna was also a finalist in the Chartered Legal Executive Award category.

500 lawyers attended the awards, held at the Bloomsbury Big Top in London. Christian Fleck, Managing Director, LexisNexis UK, said:

“This year we received more votes and nominations than ever before and reading them gives a sense of the specialist expertise and talent within the profession, not to mention how genuinely committed family law professionals are to their clients and to the principles of fairness and justice.”

This is the latest in a clutch of awards in what is proving to be an amazing 25th anniversary for The Family Law Company. The company was named Team of the Year at the inaugural DASLS Awards in March, was Highly Commended in the Modern Law Awards in October and has been shortlisted for our awards at the next DASLS Awards to be announced in March 2017.
