International law firm Trowers & Hamlins announces partner Chris Rundle as new head of office in Exeter. Chris takes over from Joseph Acton who was in post since Peter Keuls retired in 2008 for 12 years, and will be retiring from the firm after nearly 32 years at Trowers.

The office has also undergone further change with the expansion of its corporate, litigation and real estate teams in Exeter with several recent hires across various levels.

In recent months the Exeter office has welcomed partner Stuart Mathews and associate Jonathan Holloway to the corporate team; Alex Sharples and associate Vanessa Beazley have joined the commercial litigation team and the travel tourism and insurance team has been boosted by the arrival of associate Daniel Park and paralegals Grace Bravery and Phoebe Beardshall, whilst Emily Dias (solicitor) and Alex McNie (paralegal) have been recruited into the real estate team.

The number of recent recruits highlights the firm's commitment to strengthening the regional team across all practice areas to ensure that it is best placed to provide high level services that cater to the needs of its clients.

New head of the Exeter office, Chris Rundle, commented: "I am looking forward to taking over as head of our office and would like to thank Joseph for all his work in driving us forward. Considering all the challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic has presented over the course of the last year, I am delighted to see that our Exeter office has continued to go from strength to strength. We are committed to providing the South West region with market sector leading legal advice and our recent growth, alongside our ongoing programme for recruitment of further talent across the various teams, is a testament to our vision of providing this and our confidence in the region's future."

Since opening in 1984, the Trowers & Hamlins Exeter office has grown substantially and has evolved into a full service operation which has become a first point of call for many clients in the South West. With a team of over 125 people that is led by 21 partners the Exeter office is now the firm's second largest office.
