#1 - Responsibility

Show your son that taking responsibility is what makes a man. You have to know when you screwed up, and are ready and willing to admit it without hesitation. Teach him that responsibility is one of the most important factors in life, as it will always await him; especially when it is time for him to be a father. He has to learn to keep his word at all times and to admit failure if necessary, because doing so will help you maneuver easily onto the next task.

#2 – A Firm Handshake

Every man should know how to give a firm handshake, as everyone can always tell what type of person you are just by this small gesture. Remember to teach him that a handshake alone isn’t going to cut it; he also has to make proper eye contact with an easy smile.

#3 – Sports

You don’t want your son to always be next to a computer all the time. Teach him how fun sports are, and make sure that you show him a large variety of the same. That way you will assure yourself that he will have a good and memorable childhood spent socializing and not around machines.

#4 – How To Defuse an Angry Person

It’s no mystery that we all run into some trouble here and there. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to stop an encounter with an angry person, but we can always try and calm him down. Teach your son what is the proper way to speak to an angry person. Show him that by setting an inviting tone in his speech he will make the person more comfortable, thus making it easier for him/her to vent. Chances are that he is just angry because he has no one to talk to. However, teach your son that if you can’t calm him down, it is best to just leave him alone and walk away if possible.

#5 – Share Music

Teach your son about music from your era. Music is very important, and will have much impact on your son, especially during puberty. Make sure he listens to the right artists. By selecting classics from when you were young, you will surely shape up a soundtrack to his life. Courtesy of http://www.uncoverdiscover.com
