Ashfords Conveyancing Team retain top award

ASHFORDS LLP's multi-award-winning conveyancing team has gained further recognition for the quality of its service at the 2013 Equity Release Awards, which took place at Merchants Taylors’ Hall in London on Tuesday, 26 November.

The firm’s Equity Release team, led by Partner Peter Barton, were overall winners in the National Conveyancing Category, beating Equilaw and Goldsmith Williams to claim the top spot.

The nominations procedure was a two-tier process which ensured it was as robust and as transparent as possible.

The first stage was to invite nominations from the industry for the companies that were considered worthy of recognition for their achievements over the past 12 months. A shortlist was then drawn up in each category, based on the overall number of nominations and a weighting was added to the source of those nominations. Those businesses that made the shortlist in each category were contacted and asked to submit a short testimonial. An industry panel gathered to discuss the shortlist and use both their market knowledge and these testimonials to determine the winners.
