Listen2Win - an organisation comprising two Paralympian and England Blind Football players based here in Exeter - is inviting a select group of local companies to take part in the Inter-Company Challenge at WESC on 5 June from 5-7pm. Robin Williams, who is well on the way to achieving a PHD at Exeter University, and Keryn Seal, who has recently been made captain of the team, are both completely blind but their indomitable spirit and sense of fun are an inspiration to all who meet them.

Charity calls for entries to sponsored walk

WESC Foundation is calling for entries to its sponsored walk - Walk For WESC - which takes place on Sunday 7 July at 2pm at Ugbrook Park in Chudleigh, Devon. The Exeter-based charity provides learning, care and therapy for more than 100 children and young people with sight loss and complex needs at its campus on Topsham Road. Charity golf day raises nearly £3,500 for WESC Foundation

On Friday 10 May, 60 golfers met at Crediton Downes Golf Club to take part in WESC Foundation’s annual charity golf day.

15 teams from across the South West entered and raised a staggering £3,490 - the money raised will help provide the children and young people at WESC Foundation, all who have sight loss and complex needs, life-enhancing opportunities. Golfers needed for charity fundraiser for Exeter's WESC Foundation

WESC Foundation is looking for teams of four to take part in their charity golf day on Friday 10 May at Crediton Downes Golf Club.

The golf day, sponsored by Michelmores, will raise vital funds for the children and young people at WESC Foundation who contend with sight loss and complex needs. For just £170 per team, the day includes breakfast, 18 holes of golf, refreshments at the 10th hole and a delicious two-course evening dinner, complete with brilliant raffle and team prizes.

Nando’s Exeter supports the WESC Foundation with Princesshay

On Wednesday 13 March, an enthusiastic team from Nando’s Exeter were treated to a tour of the WESC Foundation campus and facilities and the chance to meet some of the inspirational students. Nando’s staff were keen to find out more about Princesshay’s official charity of 2013 and support with activity in their restaurant as well as giving time through volunteering.

Princesshay bringing Braille to restaurants

Princesshay has introduced Braille menus into its restaurants and cafes to show support for Princesshay’s new charity of the year for 2013, WESC Foundation: The specialist centre for visual impairment.
