Reindeer Visit Princesshay

This Saturday (22 November) Cotley Farm Christmas Trees will be visiting Princesshay to showcase their high quality non-drop Christmas Trees.

Between 1pm-3pm there will be two real life Reindeer for you to meet and stroke. Reindeer are beautiful creatures which charm both the young and old, come along to get in the festive spirit and have your photo taken with a Reindeer!

Cotley Farm Christmas Trees are available from Matford Home Farm, Exeter, EX2 8XT from December 1st. The farm is just 10 minutes from the centre of Exeter and is situated next door to the Devon Hotel....

Devon clears up after more heavy rain

Devon County Council is mopping up today after heavy downpours caused more problems on the county’s road network over the weekend.

Parts of East Devon took the brunt of the storms, with Sidmouth, Exmouth, Newton Poppleford, Tipton St John, Metcombe, and Woodbury worst affected.

The A376 at Exmouth currently remains closed after the road surface at Courtlands Cross started to lift on Saturday evening. A gas leak was found which has been repaired. Work is ongoing to restore the road surface, and it is hoped it will re-open under two way temporary traffic lights by 4pm today....

Sky dive record attempt fun day

Devon- and Cornwall-based charity, Pete’s Dragons is set to embark on its biggest fund raising event yet - a record of 60 sky dives from 15,000 feet and falling at around 135mph - raising money for Cornwall Search & Rescue and The Samaritans.

But to get these adrenaline junkies as far as Dunkerswell Aerodrome, they need to raise vital funds to get the campaign kick-started. Hoping to raise the cash needed, volunteers are holding a Family Fun Day and Dog Show at Westpoint Exeter on 6th September, welcoming the public for a day of entertainment for all ages.
