Radiance MediSpa hosted ‘A Radiant Christmas’ in aid of The Lady Taverners and Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) with complimentary taster sessions by therapists and stylists at their luxurious venue. BBC Radio Devon presenter Judi Spiers compered the evening with models showcasing the latest Steampunk clothing courtesy of Velveteen Clothes Emporium. The conference centre was transformed into a mini Christmas Fair with unusual and exciting gifts from local independent retailers and Casino Select hosted a roulette table raising further funds for the charities.

Oasis Exeter hosts vintage 'tea' party to celebrate flagship status

In celebration of being awarded flagship status, the Oasis store in Exeter's Princesshay hosted a jaunty vintage-style 'tea' party this evening (Thursday 24 October).

The honour, which is only bestowed on a handful of stores such as Bristol Cribbs Causeway, is testament to the Exeter store's successful management team and will mean that customers will have access to a greatly increased range of Oasis products, including day and evening wear, shoes, jewellery and accessories. Exeter Students Competing in Npower's Future Leaders Challenge

A group of Exeter University students are taking part in the prestigious Npower’s future leaders challenge, which sees those teams involved setting up a project to promote sustainable living in their local community.

The successful team will win a trip to the Brazilian Amazon, spending 10 days helping tribes people set up solar panels. As part of the Npower’s future leaders challenge students Sophie Walton, Flo Taylor, Catriona Patterson, and Harriet Miller have created the Exeter Style Cycle, an online shopping clothes swapping forum.

Next launches first new full-range lingerie room in Exeter

Next has opened a stunning new lingerie room in Exeter's Princesshay Shopping Centre.

It’s the first one to launch that brings the entire Next lingerie range together. Before, products were restricted to online, but now new styles and services such as g-cups, shape solutions and a fully functional fitting service will be available in-store.

Summer craft exhibition: Make a Mark

The Guild’s annual summer exhibition by its Membership features handling pieces, samples, sketches and background material alongside finished craft work. It aims to reveal the relationships between physical objects and the emotional journey or technical processes behind their making. The exhibition runs from 29 June - 1 September 2013.

There will be a launch party with music and buffet, 5-7pm on 28 June (£7/£10).

London fitness & leisurewear brand launched at Dukes

Designer fashion store Dukes, based in Exeter's Harlequin Centre, hosted an event last night to celebrate the arrival of a new range of lifestyle fitness, swimwear and loungewear by London-based brand Vevie.

Vevie was launched last year by Caroline Greenslade, who has designed lingerie, swimwear and loungewear for brands such as Heidi Klein, Agent Provocateur, Pistol Panties and Hoola, as well as being Head of Design for Debenhams.
