Describing it as “a great all-round experience” the RAMM Cafe has received a Gold Award in the Taste of the West Hospitality and Retail Awards 2013. The judges went on the say that the food was great local food, the prices fair, the surroundings clean and comfortable and the staff smiley.

A Devon firm of solicitors is backing the prestigious South West Chef of the Year competition 2013.

South Devon law Firm WBW Solicitors, with offices in Torquay, will be sponsoring the award for Best Use of Local Produce in the significant annual event, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

Exeter Farmers' Market gets silver stamp of approval

Exeter Farmers’ Market has been given a silver award in this year’s South West Flavour Awards organised by Taste of the West.

The market, which is organised by Exeter City Council, takes place every Thursday at the junction of Fore Street and South Street and opens for business from 9am until 2pm. Produce offered for sale includes meat, poultry, fish, organic vegetables, bread, cheese and eggs.

The judges praised the excellent service offered by the stallholders and were impressed by the atmosphere at the market.
