Toby’s popular Garden Festival is back for a fourth year in the beautiful setting of Powderham Castle near Exeter. This spring we’re thrilled to welcome as our experts Chelsea garden designer Adam Frost of BBC Gardeners’ World and pest guru Pippa Greenwood who will be giving talks and answering your garden questions. Packed with beautiful plants from more than 100 local nurseries, delicious West Country fayre, local musicians and entertainment for the whole family, it’s a great gardening day out....

Toby Buckland’s Garden Festival an outstanding success

The sun came out, thousands of people flooded in and a great day out was had by all. Garden lovers came from far and wide to experience the fabulous selection of nurseries and the inspiring talks given by garden experts.

Toby Buckland's Garden Festival preview in Exeter City Centre

Toby Buckland’s Garden Festival, which takes place on 29 & 30 April at Powderham Castle is aiming to create a little green oasis with trees and colourful Spring flowers in the centre of Princesshay Shopping Centre in Exeter in this Visit England ‘Year of the English Garden’.

Toby will be offering gardening advice and running a plant-problem surgery from his pop-up potting shed in the central square in an urban jungle of fantastic trees and plants created by Matford boys, Sam and Lee of Urban and Rural Plants.

Toby Buckland, horticulturalist, writer and TV presenter has announced the date for his 2016 garden festival at Powderham Castle.

The festival will run over two days, Friday and Saturday 29 and 30 April, from 10am-5pm.

Toby's festivals bring together gardening enthusiasts and specialist growers who share their considerable knowledge in a festive, friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

In the space of less than two years Toby has created two unique festivals that are now firm fixtures in the annual British gardening calendar.

Garden Festival a whizzing success

Toby Buckland’s Garden Festival at Powderham Castle on 1st and 2nd May was a "whizzing success" in it’s second year.

The two days opened with explosive "daytime fireworks", whooshing coloured smoke, and showering sparks in the clouds for opening ceremony with Toby and the Countess of Devon cutting the ribbon on Friday and (Lady Courtenay on Saturday) to start the day with live music, the festival Tuk Tuk and lots of local school children all ready to get gardening in the dedicated children’s marquee.

Flower Power comes to Princesshay today

Between 11am and 2pm today (Thursday 10 April) we will be bringing Toby Buckland and lots of flowers to Princesshay Square, courtesy of Land Securities and Toby Buckland’s Garden Festival.

We would love as many people as can to join us there in a flowery celebration of spring... bye bye dreary winter, hello spring! Say it with flowers!
