This year’s Present Makers brings residents from and visitors to East Devon the chance to enjoy and buy perfect, unusual gifts from South West crafts makers.

The show has been running in the run up to Christmas for eight successful years and has showcased the work of many artists not previously known to the wider audience.

Ceramics, Texiles, Glass, jewellery, wood and metal crafting are traditionally represented at this exhibition, plus the odd quirky item that goes beyond classification!

Petal Power features the work of women employed by the Silver Studio of Design in London between 1910 and 1940.

The hand drawn and painted textile designs produced by the Studio’s women designers map the floral trends of the inter war period in England when floral dresses were stylish, fashionable and affordable.

This exhibition invites you to question the nature of still and moving image as a record of the past.

Showcasing images from RAMM’s collection of historic glass plate slides, cine film contributed by members of the public, and digital images generated by local young people, you are invited to explore the nature of the recorded past. What can images tell us about people and places? What images have survived? What should museums preserve for the future?

An exhibition of medieval and modern books and book-making running from Tuesday 23rd October until Sunday 4th November in the Chapel of St James.

Kind Arted folks exhibit at South Street Baptist Church

Exeter’s South Street Baptist Church (located at the lower end of South Street) are currently hosting an art exhibition this week on 28 and 29 September.
