The Age UK Exeter 10K 2017 is open for entries.

Raising funds to improve the lives of older people in Exeter.

It is our 30 year Anniversary celebration this year so we are turning back the clock to 1987 with an 80's Retro Run theme for our March 10K - same great run - lots more fun!

This popular event attracts both experienced runners and those new to running.

The flat course with its City Centre start and finishing at Exeter Quayside is great for a PB or a first 10K.

Lawyers get knitting for charity

A team of knitters from a leading Exeter law firm has produced 242 hats for its office charity Age UK Exeter’s Big Knit campaign. Kate Evans, a trainee solicitor at Stephens Scown LLP set up a knitting club in 2015 when it first took part in the Big Knit for Age UK Exeter. The club was so popular that it has become a regular fixture at the firm, with knitters of mixed ability meeting each Wednesday lunch time. Go-Kart Party a success for Age UK Exeter and Princesshay

Children having fun on electric go-carts rides in Princesshay this summer has raised over £600 for Age UK Exeter. Operators Go-Kart Party donated 10% of all takings throughout the summer to Age UK Exeter as part of the continued annual charity partnership between Age UK Exeter and Princesshay.

Go-Kart Party manage the pay per ride electric Go-Karts in Princesshay Square, running on a track specifically designed for 4 to10 year olds eager to have a go at being a racing driver.

A 15-strong team of knitters from law firm Stephens Scown LLP have been brandishing their needles in aid of the Exeter office’s chosen charity, Age UK Exeter. Stephens Scown’s knitting club has knitted as many little woolly hats as possible for the Exeter branch of Age UK, in support of the charity’s nationwide campaign “the Big Knit”. The club, comprised of 15 knitters of mixed experience, have knitted 375 hats in total. Roy's bee keeping experience

Roy Powney, 78, from Exeter has been honing his bee keeping skills on Princesshay’s rooftop garden which is home to five hives and more than 60,000 bees.

Through Age UK Exeter, Princesshay’s Charity of the Year, Roy has been visiting the roof top garden every Thursday since April. Working alongside Jason Wallis, head bee keeper for Princesshay, Roy has been closely involved in caring for the bees which has been a passion of his from a young age.

Princesshay’s city bee project, now in its third year, continues to thrive on the roof tops of the busy Exeter shopping centre....
