Laughter, they say, is the best medicine and at Suck A Lemon the doctor is definitely in session. Every fortnight they’ll be bringing the best, most entertaining and downright hilarious acts to Exeter for a brand new comedy night. Suck A Lemon will feature some of the hottest and funniest upcoming names in comedy alongside award-winning comedians and guests from TV shows such as BBC2's Mock The Week, Live at the Apollo and Britain's Got Talent. InExeter announces date for this year's Christmas lights switch on event

This year the city will be illuminated with the biggest display of Christmas lights Exeter has ever seen.

For the third year, InExeter will host and celebrate the city’s Christmas lights switch on event with a new festival for all the family culminating in the lights being switched on at a new time of 5pm on Sunday 18th November in close partnership with Stagecoach and sponsor Crealy.

Let's Rock Exeter returns to Powderham Castle for a fifth year on Saturday 29 June 2019.

With a fabulous line-up of artists bringing you the very best of the 80s and an action-packed day of retro madness, there is plenty to do for everyone at this family friendly festival.

Billy Ocean will be headlining, with another big act to be announced before Christmas.

Exeter musician's return to conducting for charity concert in aid of Unicef

A well-known Exeter musician is set to conduct again at the end of September for a special charity concert in the city centre in aid of Unicef, the United Nations Children's Fund. Raymond Calcraft, who was Director of Exeter Philharmonic Choir for fifteen years from 1988 to 2003, led the Choir in more than 80 concerts in the Cathedral, and took them to Spain in 1998 to sing in Madrid's famous Auditorio Nacional and the Cathedral of Salamanca. He also brought the English Chamber and Royal Philharmonic Orchestras to Exeter to perform with the Choir.

Exeter Phoenix’s independent cinema, Studio 74, is offering film fans a chance to catch the latest movies for free on Sunday 30 September, as part of National Lottery Cinema Day. To celebrate the National Lottery’s support for British film, they’re giving away thousands of free tickets at participating cinemas across the UK and Studio 74 is taking part. Audience members simply need to show a Lotto ticket for draws between 26th and 29th September to receive a free cinema ticket for any film showing that day.
